The Foresta Keystone is built on a pairing that should not work as well as it does — a high-gloss black polycarbonate frame and temples constructed from dark ebony on the outside and pale natural maple within. Two materials from opposite ends of the material world, brought together at the hinge in a frame that rewards every angle it is viewed from and improves with every wear.
The polycarbonate frame delivers a gloss black finish of exceptional depth and uniformity — lighter than acetate, more impact-resistant, and carrying the same lacquer-like surface quality that makes all-black frames so enduringly compelling. The keystone silhouette sits between the classic wayfarer and a rounded square — corners that are defined but softened, a shape that flatters a wide range of face shapes without committing to either the geometry of the square or the softness of the oval. The branded logo hardware at the temple hinge marks the transition point between frame and temple — a small but precisely placed detail.
At the hinge, the material story shifts entirely. Dark ebony wood covers the exterior temple face — its dense, almost black grain providing a seamless visual transition from the black polycarbonate frame that can only be appreciated on second or third look. Turn the temples over and pale natural maple is revealed on the inner face — a warm, almost honey-toned wood that sits against the face and ears with the natural warmth and comfort only wood can provide. The two-tone wood construction makes each pair of temples genuinely unique, their grain patterns unrepeatable.
